Games Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

1. Who We Are & What This Covers

This policy applies to every mobile game and app published by KaiLok Studios("we", "us", "our") on Google Play and other app stores, including titles released after the date above. If you reached this page from one of our apps or its store listing, this policy covers that app.

It does not cover the KaiLok comics platform at kailok.com, which has its own privacy policy.

2. How to Read This Policy

This policy describes the full set of services our apps may use. Not every title uses every service, and a service described here may not be active in the version you have installed. We write it this way so it stays accurate as titles are updated. For what a specific app collects, see the Data safetysection on that app's store listing, which we complete for each title individually.

3. The Short Version

  • You do not need an account to play. Signing in is optional.
  • Your game progress is saved on your device. We do not run a server that stores your saves — though Android may back it up to your own Google Drive (see Section 4).
  • We do not collect your name, address, phone number, contacts, location, photos, camera or microphone.
  • Ads and analytics are provided by Google and involve your device's advertising ID.
  • Purchases are handled entirely by Google Play — we never see your card details.

4. Game Progress & Device Backup

Our apps save your progress, level completion, scores, settings, audio and haptics preferences, and purchase entitlements (such as whether ads have been removed) to your device's local storage. This data is never sent to us — we do not operate a server that stores your saves, and we cannot read your progress.

However, Android's built-in Auto Backup feature may copy this save data to your own Google Drive, so that your progress is restored when you reinstall the app or set up a new phone. This is a feature of the Android operating system, not of our apps:

  • It is tied to the Google account already on your device — it does not require you to sign in inside the app, and it happens whether or not you do.
  • The backup is held in a private area of your Drive. It does not count against your storage quota, and we have no access to it.
  • You control it from your device settings, under System › Backup, where you can turn it off or delete existing backups.

Uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes the copy on your device. If Auto Backup is enabled, a copy may remain in your Google Drive and be restored on reinstall until you delete it in your device settings.

5. Data Collected Automatically

Where these services are enabled, they collect data on our behalf:

  • Firebase Analytics — gameplay events such as a level starting, being completed or failed, hints and shuffles used, ads shown, and purchases made, together with automatically collected app and device information (app version, device model, operating system, country, and a randomly generated app instance identifier).
  • Firebase Crashlytics — if the app crashes, a crash report containing the stack trace, device model, operating system version and app state at the time of the crash.
  • Firebase Remote Config — retrieves gameplay and configuration values from our servers so we can tune difficulty and features without shipping an update. This sends app and device information in order to receive the correct configuration.

We use this to find bugs, balance difficulty and understand which features are used. We do not use it to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell it.

6. Guest Play & Optional Sign-In

Where sign-in is offered, the app creates an anonymous guest identity via Firebase Authentication. This is a randomly generated identifier — it contains no personal information about you and is not linked to any account.

You may optionally link a Google account. If you do, we receive your name, email address and profile photo from Google, so that your identity persists across reinstalls and devices. Linking is always your choice, and you can keep playing as a guest indefinitely.

7. Advertising

Where ads are shown, they are served by Google AdMob. To serve, cap, measure and prevent fraud in advertising, AdMob processes your device's advertising ID, IP address, general device information and your interactions with ads (such as an ad being shown, closed, or a rewarded ad being completed).

Ads may be personalised based on your advertising ID. You control this:

  • Android — Settings › Google › Ads, where you can delete or reset your advertising ID and opt out of ad personalisation.
  • Where required by law (for example in the EEA and UK), we present a consent prompt before personalised ads are served, and you may change or withdraw that choice from within the app.
  • Some titles offer a paid "remove ads" purchase, after which no further ads are shown.

How Google uses data from apps that use its services is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

8. Purchases

In-app purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. Google handles the payment; we never receive or store your card or bank details. We receive confirmation that a purchase completed so the app can unlock what you bought. Refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policy.

9. What We Do Not Collect

Our games and apps do not collect, request or transmit:

  • Your name, postal address or phone number (a linked Google account provides only name, email and photo — see Section 6).
  • Precise or approximate location.
  • Contacts, calendar, SMS or call logs.
  • Photos, files, camera or microphone access.
  • Health, financial or biometric data.

We do not operate a cloud database of your gameplay, and we do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.

10. Third-Party Services

The following third parties may process data as described above. Each is subject to its own privacy policy:

  • Google AdMob — advertising.
  • Google Firebase — analytics, crash reporting, remote configuration and authentication.
  • Google Play — app distribution and in-app purchases.

Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. How Firebase handles data: firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

11. Retention & Deletion

  • On-device data — removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data.
  • Android Auto Backup copies — held in your own Google Drive under your control; delete them from your device settings (System › Backup). Google removes a backup automatically if you do not use the app for an extended period.
  • Analytics and crash data — retained by Google for a limited period under Firebase's retention settings, then deleted.
  • A linked account — deleted on request. Email us and we will delete the account and its associated data within 30 days.
  • Purchase records — retained by Google Play as required for billing, tax and refund purposes.

To request deletion, email support@kailok.com from the address linked to your account, naming the app.

12. Children

Our games are not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

13. Your Rights

Depending on where you live — including under the EU/UK GDPR, India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, and California law — you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to object to certain processing. We do not sell personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email support@kailok.com.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our apps change. Updates are posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of our apps after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

15. Contact
