1. Who We Are

KaiLok (kailok.com) is an AI-assisted platform for creating and reading original anime & manga — characters, stories and illustrated pages. References to "we", "us" or "our" refer to KaiLok.

2. Information We Collect

• Account data — when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile photo from Google.
• Content you create — characters, stories, episodes, scenes, dialogue, prompts, uploaded reference images, and the media generated from them.
• Community activity — posts, comments, likes, follows, challenge entries, and your public creator profile.
• Payment data — if you buy credits, payment is handled by a third-party payment processor; we receive transaction records (amount, status, timestamp) but not your full card details.
• Usage data — pages visited, searches, and features used, via standard server logs.
• Device data — browser type, IP address and referrer, collected automatically.
• Cookies — session cookies for authentication; advertising cookies only if and when advertising is enabled.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide, operate and improve the KaiLok service.
• To generate and translate the content you create, using AI (see Section 5).
• To authenticate you and sync your account across sessions.
• To process credit purchases and maintain your balance.
• To power community features — feeds, profiles, notifications.
• To respond to feedback and support requests.
• To display advertising, if and when it is enabled.

4. Content You Create & Publish

The characters, stories and art you make are yours. How visible they are depends on your choices:

• Drafts stay private to your account until you choose to publish or share them.
• Published stories and characters, and anything you post to the community Wall, are publicly visible — including to people without an account — and may appear in feeds, search and on your public creator profile.
• Allowing other creators to reuse a character is opt-in and separate from public listing.

5. AI Processing of Your Content

KaiLok is AI-assisted. To generate or translate your work, the relevant content — for example story text, character details, prompts, dialogue and reference images — is sent to third-party AI providers that perform text, image and video generation and translation on our behalf. We send only the content needed to fulfil the action you requested. These providers process this data under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control, and do not represent, how each provider may retain or use submitted content; review their policies if this matters to you. Do not submit anything you are not comfortable processing through third-party AI services.

6. Third-Party Services

KaiLok relies on the following third parties that may process your data:

• Google Firebase — authentication.
• Google Cloud Platform — infrastructure, database and media storage.
• AI providers — text, image, video generation and translation of the content you create (see Section 5).
• Payment processor — credit purchases, subject to its own privacy policy.
• Advertising — served via a third-party ad provider, if and when enabled, subject to its own privacy policy.

7. Data Retention

Account and content data is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by emailing support@kailok.com. We will delete your account and associated private data within 30 days. Content you have published publicly may persist where it has been shared or cached; we will remove copies under our control on request.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact us at support@kailok.com.

9. Children

KaiLok is not directed to children, and accounts are intended for users who meet the minimum age required in their jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of KaiLok after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
